Life Science Leadership Series: Anti-microbial Resistance

08:30 - 18:30

Location:
The Nucleus, Chesterford Research Park, Little Chesterford CB10 1XL
Date:
20 May 2015

Anti-microbial Resistance (AMR) is of growing global concern with England’s Chief Medical Officer, Dame Sally Davies recently describing it as a 'ticking time bomb'. Just recently, the UK Government’s National Risk Register of Civil Emergencies has published a report indicating that the number of infections complicated by AMR will rise significantly over the next 20 years, with even routine minor surgery and routine operations becoming high risk. The speakers at this event will set out their perspectives on the challenges and how emerging technologies are leading to innovative intervention strategies.
