Growth through Enterprise

Context:

Exciting developments continue to happen along the M11 Corridor for Life Sciences where recent news has included:

•  The announcement that Public Health England will relocate to Harlow
Gilead and Illumina announcing major new facilities to be built at Granta Park
Charles River opening their new Robinson’s Building at Chesterford Research Park
•  Stansted Airport continuing to invest in its Business Travel offer whilst growing passenger numbers 
  Selcia scientists publish in Nature
   Sir Charles Kao UTC now up to 200 students – providing skilled entrepreneurs and staff for this growth
   The first major tenants for the Enterprise Zone and the Development Partners for the Science Park to be announced shortly by Harlow Council

The above emphasising the fantastic science base present and the opportunities in the region to accelerate growth through a combination of (i) Organic growth from existing players; (ii) Inward investment and (iii) Creation of start-up companies. 

This event, hosted by Sir Charles Kao UTC, will look at the opportunities to encourage growth through enterprise, especially supporting nascent companies as well as update attendees on the exciting developments above.
