Application Scientist and Support Specialist

  • Support Cresset customers in the use and application of our products to solve current problems in drug discovery, agrochemical discovery and related fields
  • Work through multiple channels – email, phone, video meetings, chat and in-person visits – to provide the first line of support for all Cresset software customers
  • Prepare case studies and examples that demonstrate how our applications can be applied to relevant problems in new molecule discovery
  • Work with Cresset’s dedicated sales team to demonstrate our applications to prospective customers and support all global software evaluations
  • Work with Cresset product managers to prepare and deliver training to our extensive range of clients
  • Ensure that all support statistics are captured in the company Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and reported to senior management monthly
  • Gather and feedback on competitive intelligence gained from third parties
  • Provide feedback to development on new features and functionality required in the Cresset software applications
  • Represent Cresset and attend conferences, seminars and exhibitions
  • When required, test and use new Cresset products and new releases of existing applications


  • Qualified to PhD level in a scientific discipline – chemistry preferred
  • Experienced computational or medicinal chemist
  • 2-3 years commercial experience is preferable

  • Language skills
