Senior Associate

The international team at Cambridge Healthcare Research (CHR) provides strategic decision support and action planning to a wide range of stakeholders in the life-science and healthcare space.

Working closely with our clients, CHR translates evolving treatment algorithms, patient pathways and novel technologies into tailored landscape analyses, commercial opportunity assessments, market models and into product sales forecasts. Our evaluation of market dynamics, combined with a targeted understanding of key trends in the prescriber, regulator, and payer environments, equips our clients to make the best decisions from an optimally informed position.

What it takes to be part of CHR:
  • Strong interest in the pharmaceutical industry and the development and commercialization of a pharmaceutical product
  • Experience managing projects or streams of work within projects
  • Team player; able to work effectively as part of diverse and virtual teams and build relationships both internally and externally
  • Delegation and people management skills
  • Advanced degree in life sciences (PhD or post-doc) or business (MBA)
  • 1-2 years of experience at a competitive intelligence firm, with special focus on life sciences
  • Proven business and/or commercial acumen
  • Strong research and analysis skills, ability to conceptualize analysis into processes and frameworks
  • Strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively and succinctly both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver high quality outputs under time-pressured deadlines
  • Foreign languages may be an advantage
  • Ability to travel internationally


Once at CHR you will:

  • Provide problem-solving leadership and mentor business analysts and associates
  • Lead the development and delivery of client deliverables in collaboration with other team members and engagement manager
  • Manage project team and effectively implement project plan according to project proposal and timeline
  • Contribute towards client and account planning /execution including proposals
  • Analyse qualitative and quantitative research findings, using a range of tools and techniques, to generate insights and develop client recommendations
  • Attend international medical conferences to conduct primary and secondary research by attending symposia and poster sessions and through the engagement with Key Opinion Leaders and commercial sources.
  • Support the partners with business development activities and the generation of project proposals
