Ref: 882488 Interim Supply Chain Project Manager

Our client based in Cambridge is recruiting for a Supply Chain Project Manager who will have overall responsibility for managing medium to large scale New Product Introductions, New Product Development’s and Product Optimisation projects. The successful person will be responsible for managing and coordinating all required supply chain activities to ensure an on-time delivery of launch stocks and sustainable future supply at the right quality and cost. This role will either be on a year’s Fixed Term Contract (FTC) or a 3-6-month day-rate contract.

Role purpose:
  • Work collaboratively with Customers, Suppliers, Supply Chain teams and other supporting internal functions understanding the market requirements and strategies for New Product registrations and commercialisation
  • Work closely with Supply Chain Operations, Finance, Technical, Architecture and other internal functions to agree, align and execute all activities required for the supply of New Products, including any agreed prioritisation for communication to Suppliers
  • Ensure the necessary information is made available for the setup of new Products and new Supplies within the operational processes and systems. Work with the Supply Chain Coordinator to ensure correct set up requests are submitted to the IT supporting function
  • Manage the on-boarding process of new suppliers
  • Ensure the right representation through the participation of various Governance Groups
  • Manage other agreed Supply Chain Projects, e.g. rationalisations, Supply Chain Continuous Improvement projects
  • Support and contribute to overall Management strategies and initiatives
  • Develop, implement and monitor appropriate systems and processes to ensure effective Life Cycle Management is embedded and carried out within the team
  • Ensure alignment of defined Supply Chain processes
  • Monitor and report progress, status and completion of ongoing projects
