BD Executive

PharmaVentures is looking to recruit a Business Development Executive who will provide outstanding support to the team on all BD activities within the company. This individual will immerse themselves into the BD function, and will understand it’s processes, leads & projects, and how they can add value to them. This role is integral to the BD function and the individual will be required to support all those involved in BD, including the senior management team. For the successful candidate there is the potential to grow into a further BD role in the future.

Key Responsibilities:
• Generate appropriate content to support BD activities as well as preparing Proposals and LOEs.
• Supporting the BD team in both preparation and follow up from Conferences and events.
• Researching/screening prospective clients in line with business requirements.
• Email management of Leads inbox. Allocate leads accordingly and ensure enquiries are actioned promptly.
• Support colleagues in scheduling meetings, adding details to the relevant calendars.
• Liaising with the BD team to ensure timely follow up on leads and meetings.
• Attending internal BD related calls/meetings to proactively obtain updates on leads/clients. Use this information to independently update the CRM database.
• Maintain the company leads and project pipeline by entering client, meeting, and project information into the CRM database. Ensure that all records are accurate and up to date.
• Reporting from the CRM database as requested.
• Supporting the CRM system process and working with the Database Coordinator to ensure the comprehensiveness and quality of CRM data. Supporting the development of the CRM to provide a hub for the execution of business development strategy and the reporting of key performance metrics.

Key Skills:
• Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry
• Confident in researching and presenting information concisely.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Familiarity with CRM systems, knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics is desirable.
• Proven administration and office organisational skills.
• Excellent time management with ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work accurately.
• Confident at working with all those involved in BD, including the Senior Management team
• Excellent operational and organisational skills; able to devise and implement processes to improve team efficiency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications / IT Skills required:
• A degree in pharmacy or life sciences
• Previous experience in a BD, marketing or sales environment within a publisher or consultancy focused on the pharma/biotech industry
• Demonstratable office administration experience.
• Flexible and resilient team worker.
• Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint Microsoft Dynamics CRM and SharePoint.
