Isomerase is an award-winning biotechnology SME based at Chesterford Research Park near Cambridge, UK. Founded in 2012 it discovers and develops next generation microbial natural products, biocatalytic proteins and peptides to promote sustainability and health.

We are looking for excellent candidates to become a key part of our business development team.

Business Development Manager

You will play an important role, establishing and developing relationships with potential partners then exploring scope for working together. You will work with the rest of the BD team to optimise Isomerase’s outward facing presence and provide market information to support continuous improvement of our service offering.

You are a well organised self-starter with strong communication skills who connects well with others and should possess a relevant science degree, and understand synthetic biology, biocatalysis or natural products chemistry.

The candidate will be expected to gain increasing independence in generating and cultivating BD leads and will be able to demonstrate a high aptitude for developing trusted relationships with potential and existing clients and be willing to travel when beneficial. We welcome applications from practicing scientists from relevant areas who are looking for the next stage in their career. Capability and enthusiasm are vital, prior experience of business development is a positive but not a necessity with opportunities and support to grow into the role.
