The role

We are now seeking an experienced technician who can carry out assembly and testing of prototype medical devices.

We are looking for someone to:

Carry out precise assembly of sensor components in batches of hundreds.
Set up and use test equipment including mechanical fixtures, electronic measurement instruments and software programs.
Carry out inspection and measurement of small components.
Follow laboratory test protocols.
Carry out functional testing of sensors. This will involve testing laboratory standard fluids and, on occasion, animal and human blood in small quantities.
We expect you to have experience of working in a chemistry or biology lab environment. You must be familiar with general laboratory procedures and safe working practices and you must have experience of working with chemicals.

Our work involves handling small components that we manufacture in-house. Therefore, we are looking for someone with an eye for detail who can work precisely and methodically.

You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team including scientists, engineers and technicians and clear verbal and written communication will be necessary.

You will be part of an exciting journey as we develop ground-breaking new medical devices and this role will give you exposure to every stage of the product development lifecycle. Your role will grow as the company grows and alongside developing new technology you will help to shape our working practices and team culture.
