The role holder will act as Project Leader / Study Director on multiple studies within programs of work encompassing a range of Formulation Development, Formulation Testing & GLP Storage Stability studies. The role holder must be able to train, mentor, develop and manage a team of scientists or technical staff to undertake these studies. Key will be planning and executing allocated Formulation Development & Testing projects using available resources. The roe holder must establish, monitor and control time, task schedules and budgets to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. In addition the role holder will be involved in preparing new project proposals & costings for clients, for approval by management.
The role requires a minimum of a BSc in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline and significant post-graduate industrial experience in a formulation development laboratory, with proven ability to develop crop protection formulations. Exceptional formulation development experience from another industry sector may be acceptable. The role holder will have a proven track record of developing innovative solutions to complex formulation development challenges and possess excellent project management and team working skills. This role requires direct liaison with clients, colleagues & suppliers so prior experience of working in a customer focussed, commercial environment would be advantageous.
