Mogrify is a cell therapy development company whose technology was developed in order to identify the combination of transcription factors required to convert any cell type into any other cell type. We are applying this approach to address the issues of efficacy, safety and scalability currently associated with cell therapy development.
We are looking for Research Assistants to join our expanding team at the Cambridge Science Park. You will be part of a growing company, and opportunities will be available for career progression. Interviews will be held on a rolling basis as applications are received, with start dates ranging from immediate start to early 2020. All roles will be full-time at our state-of-the-art facilities in Cambridge, UK.
At Mogrify, you will:
• be part of a highly dynamic and collaborative environment with pioneering science, integrity and diversity as our core values;
• be working in the R&D team;
• be trained by a team of passionate and innovative scientists, and you will actively contribute to the development and in vitro validation of human cell conversions using the Mogrify approach.
Key tasks include:
• cell culture of different cell types, including human stem cells;
• generation of viruses/plasmids, and transduction/transfection of cells;
• characterization of converted cells by molecular and cell biology-based methods.
Candidate profile:
• BSc or MSc in Molecular and/or Cell Biology (or related)
• Hands-on laboratory experience is preferred, such as culture of human/mammalian cells
• Strong written (record keeping) and verbal communication skills
• Team player, self-driven with positive thinking and a “can-do” attitude
• Good interpersonal skills
• Industry experience would be a bonus
