Job Description Summary
The Scientific Support Coordinator is responsible for administering the logistics of the scientific training programs at STEMCELL global offices and collaborator sites. Scientific support programs include training for STEMCELL staff or clients, as well as proficiency testing programs. This role greatly contributes to the company’s vision of Scientist Helping Scientists™ by providing comprehensive educational services and support to staff, clients, and distributors.

Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinate and administer all logistical aspects of the scientific support programs and operations including participant communication & registration, program execution, program record-keeping, venues, instructional material, ordering, and catering.

Work with all departmental functional teams and acts as a liaison with customers, interdepartmental staff, guest speakers, and collaborators.

Ensure that scientific support programs are executed in a timely manner and according to our quality standards.

Coordinate a variety of meetings and communications including tracking and following up on timelines and action items, and taking and distributing meeting minutes.

Prepare, distribute, and maintain instructional material and documents according to company quality standards and best practices.

Assist Scientific Support Subject Matter Experts to compile and statistically analyze data sets for proficiency testing programs.

Work with the program managers to compile training program metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) and assist with departmental process improvements.

Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of STEMCELL products. Assist Scientific Support Subject Matter Experts to format new instructional materials according to corporate branding guidelines.

Provide clear, effective, and appropriate communications to different audiences across the organization.

Maintain a high level of service and professionalism to all our customers.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of work experience or a Master’s degree with no work experience in life sciences.

Experience as a client service representative or within a research environment or biotechnology company would be an asset.

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Energetic and enthusiastic with a proven ability to contribute to a positive working environment.

Strong organizational and time management skills accompanied by good judgment in order to prioritize, multitask and work independently in a fast-paced, positive work environment.

Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and initiate improvements in operational procedures to enhance efficiency; exceptional attention to detail.

Ability to explain product and scientific information to both experts and non-experts alike.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a dynamic team.

Proficient with Microsoft Office and/or Google Productivity tools.

Experience working with collaborative software programs such as Salesforce, Learning Management systems, and/or Confluence would be preferred.

Fluency in English is required, fluency in additional languages would be an asset.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a dynamic team.

Demonstrated ability to meet short- and long-term project deadlines.

Strong time management and organization skills.
