As a molecular biologist/immunologist within the Antibody Discovery & Protein Engineering team in Cambridge (UK), you will play a pivotal role in the isolation of novel therapeutics via MedImmune’s biologics discovery platforms. You will work in a multidisciplinary matrix environment to conceive, design, and execute strategies to generate novel therapeutics. Additionally, you will provide scientific expertise in the evaluation of new innovative technologies, such as single B-cell technologies, microfluidics, and next generation sequencing, for their utility in drug discovery to help keep MedImmune at the forefront in the field of biologics discovery. Depending on your experience, you could be hired as a Scientist I or Scientist II.

What we need from you:
PhD with postdoctoral experience (or equivalent experience) in molecular biology and/or immunology.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Strong organisational ability to plan and prioritise work to meet deadlines.
Scientific curiosity and the ability to critically assess your own work.
Excellent communication skills.

Desirable Requirements
Experience with single B-cell technologies, flow cytometry and/or microfluidics.
Knowledge and practical experience of protein engineering and/or antibody generation platforms (hybridoma or in vitro display technologies), molecular biology (e.g. PCR, cloning, Sanger and next-gen sequencing, and sequence analysis), biochemical assays (e.g. ELISA, HRTF), mammalian cell culture, protein expression and purification.
Experience working with primary cells and performing cell-based assays.
Experience of assay development and troubleshooting.
Experience of working within an industrial environment.
