Scientist / Senior Scientist

The Company

IONTAS is an internationally renowned research company offering antibody discovery services focussed on antibody phage display, a technique originally invented by our founder. The company has also invented a proprietary mammalian display platform for identifying high affinity, developable lead antibody candidates with the added advantage of allowing selection for optimal biophysical properties during the earliest stages of drug discovery.

To expand the company and help secure our future IONTAS combined forces with FairJourney Biologics, Portugal. Our joint operation consists of more than 100 scientists and has successfully completed more than 500 projects, with over 100 biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. This represents a rare opportunity to experience a huge diversity of projects, spanning all imaginable indications and modalities, and performed in collaboration with world-leading scientists and innovators. Through organic growth and acquisition we will continue to expand our offering centred around antibody discovery using immune and naïve library approaches combined with our next generation mammalian display technology.

The Role

Iontas are seeking enthusiastic lab-based Scientists to join the discovery team at our South Cambridgeshire site. We have a rich scientific environment with a focus on client-based antibody drug discovery projects and innovative platform development. We seek adaptable individuals to deliver on projects and help develop and refine our practices.

As a Scientist you will be part of an antibody discovery team generating high-quality results for our clients. You will gain responsibility for projects involving identification and optimisation of biologics. In addition to the design and execution of experiments, you will be responsible for analysis/interpretation of data, and communication of results to customers and the team. Working with a Team Leader or directly with the CTO, the role will centre on project delivery but will include optimisation of procedures and supervision/training of other team members.
