Position

This role is full time and requires expertise in the Kubernetes/ Docker focused Network Configuration, operating systems management, networking configuration, software installation and security best practices. Experience using datacentre infrastructure. The candidate should be able to read, write and implement standard operating procedures and technical documentation from AWS and Networking perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyse current network configurations and determine implementation requirements
Deliver software and infrastructure that will help drive improvements towards the availability, performance, efficiency, scalability, and security of Splunk’s services. Technologies include AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker and Vault.
Assemble required equipment, cables, adapters, etc. and arrange delivery to site for installation
Automated deployment services such as Jenkins, Ansible/Puppet/Chef.
Work on AWS cloud build systems like Terraform/CloudFormation.
Upgrade configuration of existing network equipment to support new features and functions
Assist in the evaluation of potential network products or technical solutions
Work with Software Defined Networks (SDN) solutions across WAN (SD-WAN) and network virtualization
Provide High Level Plan the infrastructure needs of a company
Manage a fleet of Linux servers and configure, maintain network systems.
Manage and configure cloud-based infrastructure, preferably AWS, beneficial will be the production experience in ECS/ECR, AWS Batch.
Work closely with software development teams.
Define control code repository services such as Bitbucket.
Work with GIS Compliance and segments to assess controls as well as identify security gaps
Review relevant artifacts to support the assessment of security controls and procedures.
Identify and assess IT related risks and control weaknesses to define appropriate remedies and minimize security threats
Monitor for opportunities to enhance the network/system performance or reliability.
Perform on-going management of network installation and upgrade projects and maintain deployment schedules.
Report breaches and the improper handling of ePHI to the Company’s Privacy and Security Officers.
Provide guidance to team members and provide status metrics to Project Managers
Provide support, troubleshooting of network problems server setup and Virtualization
Maintain and extend expertise in applicable areas of network and computer hardware and software technology
Contribute to the development of network documentation, including diagrams, standards, specifications, and operating procedures

Requirements
Technical Requirement:

Bachelors/master’s in computer science, Information Systems, or related degree
Minimum 7+ years of hands-on network experience with Network systems with exposure to VPN, LAN, and WAN management
5+ years of hands-on experience configuring routing protocols and switching configuration in medium to large enterprise networks
Skill requirement:

Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics to management and non-technical audiences.
VMWare, Logging (ELK, Splunk), Monitoring (Prometheus)LAN/WAN, Firewall and IPS equipment software.
Understanding of network connectivity for physical and virtualized servers and Storage Area Network.
Hands-on Experience with Kubernetes, Docker Container setup and configuration.
Hands-on experience with Prometheus and Kafka configuration in Biosciences.
Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS, NXOS.
Hands-on experience with Cisco ASA and Firepower Services IPS (Configuration of Access policy, service policy NAT, license management).
Experience with Cisco networks, AWS Network and SDN configurations.
Knowledge of Wide Area Network technologies
Knowledge of Local Area Network technologies such as Ethernet as well as the physical media and equipment associated with each knowledge area
Knowledge of IP routing protocols and implementations
