London or Home/Remote Based

Do you have significant experience in the development of LC/MS/MS methodology for translational biomarker analysis?

Would you like to work in a project/study management role supporting translational drug development??

The Company

My client is a fast-growing CRO, supporting pharmaceutical development across the UK, EU and the USA. They have developed a proprietary technology in-house, enabling them to measure 50+ fully calibrated molecules per biofluid sample. Their technology enables them to develop bespoke tests with very high reproducibility and specificity that are specific to disease subtypes; ideal to support targeted therapies. Due to continued growth, they are looking to hire a Senior Scientist – Translational Biomarkers.

The Role

100% away from the bench, the Senior Scientist – Translational Biomarkers role is to be study manager / project manager based, with oversight of internal lab based bioanalysts, who will develop and validate novel methods on cutting edge and high-resolution LC/MS/MS and Mass Spectroscopy platforms. The Senior Scientist – Translational Biomarkers will design biomarker bioanalytical studies, in line with client requirements, overseeing internal projects to agreed timelines and budgets.

The company laboratories are based in London and the USA, however this role can remote/home based. It is expected the Senior Scientist – Translational Biomarkers will visit the labs from time to time to ensure project delivery and build strong internal relationships.

To be considered for the Senior Scientist – Translational Biomarkers role you will need the following skills and experience;

PhD or equivalent experience in biochemistry/ molecular biology/ analytical chemistry/ mass spectrometry or a related discipline.
Hands-on industry experience with LC-MS/MS platforms, including triple quadrupole mass spec systems
Broad experience in biomarker assay development and delivery, preferably in a regulated environment.
Experience in the following would be an advantage - targeted proteomics, lipidomics, metabolomics is highly desirable, neurodegeneration research and/or experience in bioinformatics.
You will need excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
Key Words “Bioanalysis, Bioanalyst, Mass Spec, ThermoFisher, Sciex, Waters, triple quadrupole, Mass Spectroscopy, LC/MS/MS, Study Manager, Project Manager, Study Director, Translational Biomarkers, precision medicines, method protocol, GLP, GCP, GxP, home, remote, Senior Scientist, Associate Principal Scientist, Research, Drug Development, DMPK, PK, translational science”

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company, where you will be a key part of the story of that company. You will have the power to make a real, tangible impact on the company and influence how it grows as a successful business.
