Team Leader - Technology Group (Cambridge, UK)

IONTAS is an antibody discovery company using phage display and mammalian display to discover human antibody drugs for our clients. With a rich history of innovation we continue, through the technology group, to develop novel platforms and solutions to support colleagues in the drug discovery teams and to extend the range of services offered by the company.

The role
We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to provide overall direction and leadership to the Technology group. We seek a talented individual with a keen scientific mind to maintain a cutting edge approach and continue streamlining the discovery, maturation and characterisation of antibody drugs.
As Technology Group Leader you will manage technology team with ongoing projects as well as contributing to development of future projects devised in conjunction with your colleagues in the Drug Discovery groups.

Your profile

We are looking for individuals with the following knowledge and expertise:
• You have a PhD plus at least 5 years post-doctoral experience (or equivalent relevant experience).
• You have demonstrable expertise and deep understanding of one or several areas including biologics discovery and screening, display technologies, immunology, antibody engineering, biophysical characterisation, cell biology, structural biology, cell line engineering and molecular biology.
• You have excellent time-management, planning, and organisational skills
• You share a collaborative outlook and have outstanding communication skills.
• You have leadership abilities with proven record of successfully managing the work and development of others.
• You have an excellent ability to identify problem solve.
• You have exceptional written communication across a range of applications including scientific papers, patents, and project proposals.
• You have ability to professionally communicate and present proficiently to external partners and organizations.
