Fundraising for entrepreneurs, start-ups and scale-ups can be a minefield of complex jargon and legal issues, and it can be very difficult to know where to focus time to get yourself, your team and your business ready for investment.

Members of EY's Fast Growth Platform regularly advise entrepreneurs, from start-up to beyond, to help them prepare for (and execute) fundraising and M&A transactions.

During this talk representatives from EY’s Fast Growth Platform will be giving an online presentation regarding investment readiness relevant to Life Science businesses at multiple stages of business growth and covering the following topics:

• a comparison of some of the different types of non-grant funding for start-ups and scale-ups;
• de-mystifying of some of the key terms which commonly arise in relation to such types of funding;
• highlighting of some of the areas where red flags are often encountered during due diligence on fundraising transactions; and  
• a brief overview of how EY can work with entrepreneurs, start-ups and scale-up businesses to assist them with preparing for investment.
