This role is a 2-year fixed term contract

An exciting opportunity has been created for a talented chemoinformatician to work on methods for the annotation, searching and visualization of toxicologically relevant data. The position is funded by EU projects concerned with the better prediction and assessment of the toxicity of pharmaceutical and environmental chemicals.


Based in the ChEMBL Team at the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) the appointee will work with members of the ChEMBL team and collaborators across Europe to deliver tools, methods and data in the toxicity domain.

Research Associate


• You will be a Bsc. or Msc. graduate or equivalent

• Demonstrable experience in cell biology and/or protein chemistry including SDS PAGE, western blot, BIAcore/Octet is needed.


You will need to be able to work as an independent scientist but also be a team player and an excellent communicator with proven writing skills. Working to the highest standards, you will need to be able to work with a sense of urgency to meet the company’s ambitious goals.
