The Basics of Data Protection Issues in Business Development and Impact of Brexit

Tuesday 26 January 13:00 - 14:00

Registration is now closed. Please email aline@onenucleus.com to be added to the waitlist.

The life science industry revolves around communication, collaboration and networking. Just like other businesses, the marketing or business development activities of life sciences companies are subject to data protection legislation and should be managed carefully. This session will review the basics of Data Protection, providing tools to assist compliance with regulations, especially for the smaller organisations not having dedicated functions to these questions. It will also cover any key recent developments, such as for transfers to the US and the impact of Brexit.

It should be particularly useful for business development and marketing managers as well as senior executives at the operation management level.

This is the first of a short series of data protection webinars, with this first intended to cover the basics and with a focus on marketing, and the next one focussing specifically on the use of clinical data.

13.00 Presentation on ‘The Basics of Data Protection’ - Nora Pook, Senior Associate, Penningtons Manches Cooper
