Domainex currently has opportunities for a talented analytical scientist to join our research team. We’re an expanding contract research organisation (CRO) providing fully integrated drug discovery services to the scientific community. Our multi-disciplinary team works in a highly collaborative manner with our clients - bringing talent, creativity and expertise that converts ideas and discoveries into new healthcare solutions. Each project brings new scientific challenges, and our scientists must be versatile and responsive to the evolving needs as each project progresses.
As an analytical scientist, you will be responsible for working with an established internal team to solve problems and deliver results for client projects. A key element for this role this to support the growing chemistry department of currently 40 synthetic and medicinal chemists to maintain and repair Waters mass spectrometers, mass directed preparative instruments and to assist with challenging purification and chiral analysis/separation. Experience in this area is ideal, however, training will be given for candidates that have been identified with the appropriate technical skills to maintain and repair equipment.
In addition you will be part of an expanding analytical/bioanalytical team and will work at the interface between chemistry and biology, analysing samples prepared from a variety of biological matrices. You will contribute to several different projects, across the whole drug discovery spectrum from Hit Identification to Lead Optimisation.

The successful analytical/bioanalytical candidate will have:
• M.Sc/ B.Sc/ degree in chemistry, natural sciences, or biochemistry.
• Technically astute with problem-solving ability
• Excellent inter-personal skills and proven ability to work in a team
• Good communication skills; able to summarise and present scientific results and ideas to colleagues and external clients or collaborators as required
• a proactive attitude, and strives to deliver high quality science
An ideal candidate will also have experience in some of the following areas:
• Scientific instrument maintenance
• LCMS, UPLC and MS/MS
• HPLC,
• NMR analysis
