Facilities Technician

The Facilities Technician will ensure smooth facilities operations in the UK, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of products and parts. Reporting to the Global Head of Facilities, this individual will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the facilities as well as day to day repairs.

About the role:

  • Identify and report repairs, emergencies, and security issues.
  • Oversee the cleaning company employees, report issues.
  • Ensure waste management removal is affected on time.
  • Maintain existing systems, door access, fire control, issuing door access cards.
  • Carry out inspection of facilities and report faults where necessary.
  • Oversee and induct onsite Contractors.
  • Perform general day to day repairs.
  • Stock up supplies.
  • Ad hoc duties and requests.


Requirements

  • Due to the nature of the role must live within 30 minutes commute of site.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic engineering skills (drilling / vice work / maintenance).
  • Customer service experience.
  • Experience working in an office / facility environment.
  • Computer literate
  • 2 to 3 years’ experience in relevant lab environment.
  • Willingness to be on call when required.
