We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to work with stakeholders, on multiple and varied projects across all business functions.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of the IT project(s) including budgeting, planning, managing throughout all lifecycle and governance stages, delivery and coordination of the handover to support and Operational functions as indicated in the areas below.

Project Planning - Creating project plans across the multi-stage lifecycle. Maintaining and communicating the plan with relevant parties delivering against targets set.
Manage Project Lifecycle Stages - Leading the IT project from Start-up, through Initiation, Design; Build, Deploy, Close (and Improve).
Handover to Support / Operations - Ensure that all preparation for Operational acceptance and ongoing delivery is completed. Ensuring a smooth transition from project into live operation and project closure.
Governance – Ensuring control across each stage is completed prior to progressing to the next whilst managing appropriate RAID and status reporting requirements.
Budgeting and financial management - Working within an overall business budget, ensuring that the ongoing spend is in line with the forecast.
Vendor Management – Managing input and expertise from third party providers for solution development, technical work, business analysis and work package delivery. Raising and expediting appropriate purchase order requests through IT and business management stakeholders.
Liaison with Business and Stakeholders - Continuous engagement with senior business managers through governance, requirements capture, user testing and status management.

You will be expected to actively work alongside and support the following:

Delivery from Business Analysts, Technical Analysts and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in the completion of technical specifications and participate in solution design activities.
Coordinate Test resources, across all stages of testing such that the implemented solution reflects the agreed requirements; including the support and coordination of defect management and any change requests that may emerge.
Coordinate the creation and delivery of any necessary training, operational procedures and business readiness plans to ensure smooth implementation.
Manage post implementation support to minimise disruption to the business. In co-ordination with Business Analysts, and other Programme and Project Managers.

Thought Leadership and Knowledge Sharing

Coach stakeholders and their teams to ensure they have the appropriate delivery focus and knowledge to drive the business forward.
Maintain a focus on industry trends, technologies and approaches to best support us as an organisation.
Support the process of continuous improvement with the aim to reduce cost, improve quality and increase efficiency.

Academics/Academic Qualifications:

Extensive experience of implementing major IT systems projects across logistics and ideally cold-chain supply environments.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field required.
Proven record of successful project implementation
Team and people management experience.
Knowledge of the logistics industry is essential backed up by solid experience of best practice project management gained in a complex, fast-paced commercial environment and a strong delivery focus.
