REPORTS TO: Principal Scientist or Director of Translational Biology
JOB PURPOSE: A lab focused role looking to contribute to the characterisation and translation of Crescendo’s novel Humabody products as part of a cross-functional project team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Identification and evaluation of translationally relevant model systems including in vivo mouse models
• Defining and directing in vitro and in vivo studies with CROs to build a biology data package for Humabody products
• Forming collaborations with academic groups to enable testing of Humabody drug candidates in translationally relevant in vitro and in vivo assays
• Developing and running cell-based assays using primary cells e.g. immune cells
• Designing and performing experiments to test the function of Humabody VH in a range of immunological and other tumour cell assays
• Carrying out experiments to define and demonstrate the mechanism of action of novel Humabody products

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience
• PhD or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline; postdoctoral or industry experience would be an advantage
• Strong knowledge and background in oncology and/or immunology, in particular T cell biology
Skills and Knowledge
• Design of relevant experiments within in vivo models of oncology
• Experience in working in cross-functional project teams and of directing and managing pieces of work with collaborators/CROs
• In vitro cell-based functional assays with primary immune cells and/or tumour cells and measuring various cellular functions
• Strong practical knowledge of Flow cytometry
• Isolation and culture of primary cells e.g. T-cells and other immune cells
• Excellent laboratory skills and demonstrated ability to use these to deliver on projects
