Your role in our team:

We are looking for an individual who is meticulous, adaptable, and able to provide customer support by assisting with sales procedures. The Sales Support Specialist will help in dealing with customer requests, enter new orders and provide quotations, deal with sales-related problems, track orders and investigate shipping issues.

Working closely with associated functions such as Finance, Manufacturing and Marketing the Sales Support Specialist will help collate information relating to purchase orders and invoicing, stock availability and delivery dates, and also work with the Marketing Group to process new sales leads. The Sales Support Specialist will also help enter and track data in sales databases and provide reports to the Commercial Group.

To ensure success, the Sales Support Specialist should ideally have experience in a Commercial Life science environment and possess advanced administrative skills and an understanding of sales performance metrics to provide the required support to monitor sales performance against target.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Acknowledge customers by responding to emails, texts and phone calls.
Maintaining and updating all customer contact information and sales account records.
Deal with any customer complaints and help resolve the issue as necessary.
Verify orders, including customers information, payment details and contact customers to answer any queries and obtain missing information.
Process purchase orders and work with Finance to issue sales invoice.
Ensure accuracy of information relating to purchase order and invoicing, stock availability, delivery dates.
Work with Finance and Shipping in cases where there are sales-related problems such as tracking orders, investigate shipping issues etc
Help compile monthly sales reports and provide any necessary data or reports to senior commercial leadership team
Work with the Marketing Group in processing new Leads as necessary.
Help track individual sales performance against target and ensure salespeople are doing their job correctly when it comes to the end to end sales process.
Supports the Commercial department with any necessary administrative work including filing reports, presenting sales team with necessary documents, help arrange travel and accommodation

Have a qualification (HND or BSc in Business Administration) or equivalent experience in a similar role within the life science industry
Are able to build rapport quickly, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external customers
Are organised, detail oriented, able to prioritise and and have outstanding time management skills
Possess high levels of responsibility and accountability and thrive both in teams and working independently
With essential experience in…

Experience working as a Sales Administrator or similar in the life sciences industry, preferably within a product based company
Experience with SalesForce or similar database/CRM system to manage the sales process
Building sales reports and monitoring opportunities throughout the sales process

Experience with tender portals such as Scientist.com or equivalent
A life science background
