ON Helix is One Nucleus’ flagship summer translational research confernece. The 2018 conference was the sixth in this series, with the strapline ‘Translating UK scientific excellence into global scientific strategies’; a different format, over two days rather than one; and a new venue, the Cambridge building at Babraham Research Campus. A year ago I was pleased to be given the opportunity to assume the role of CEO at One Nucleus. The Board and I agreed there were some key developments that we wanted to implement in order to enhance the effectiveness and relevance of One Nucleus to our members, the region and the sector as a whole.
