Role: The new role of Business Development Manager London is being created to support current membership engagement, particularly within the growing London Life Science cluster. The post holder will be expected to lead on strategic partnerships, One Nucleus event content and revenue generation in their geographic area.
Key responsibilities and duties
- Recruit and retain Corporate Sponsors, Partners and Members
- Lead on the content, sponsorship and delegate sales of One Nucleus activities including events, conferences, seminars, and publications. These activities delivered with administrative and logistics support from the wider One Nucleus team
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for One Nucleus
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including life science companies, investors, industry leaders, academia and service providers
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes
- Work with CEO and Business Development colleagues to evaluate international engagement opportunities in support of One Nucleus Member companies
- Represent One Nucleus at industry conferences, networking events, exhibitions and meetings, both within the UK and internationally
- Provide regular reports on business development activities, progress, and projections
- Support Marketing and Finance & Systems colleagues in maintaining data quality e.g. mailing list updates and in the creation of appropriate marketing collateral

Person: The successful applicant will need to demonstrate the following attributes:
- A demonstrable understanding of the technologies and commercial aspects of the Life Science industry
- Experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships within the life sciences industry
- Experience of delivering events as part of a team
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office, and data analysis tools.
- Strong team player
- Willingness to travel as required
Salary: £Negotiable, depending upon experience.
