Rather a bold question and the answer of course is ‘no’ since whilst we do bring a great deal of varied support, growing extra limbs isn’t our thing (and we aren’t a well-known soft drinks brand!). That said, supporting our members in developing their business activity in the US is very much a goal One Nucleus takes seriously. Here we report on a series of upcoming activities and collaborations aimed at informing, connecting and enabling our members in executing their US plans.
Check-In
Readers may recall that a renewed impetus on developing strong links to the Greater Boston cluster arrived last Autumn when we led a One Nucleus trade mission to Boston. This comprised a series of roundtables and attendance at the BioPharm America partnering conference in September 2022. The feedback of insights from the delegation formed the basis of the Genesis 2022 session. More recently, One Nucleus were pleased to present at the Department for Business & Trade North American Roadshow Cambridge (UK) leg.
The Flight
Supporting the above trade visit was one element of our burgeoning collaboration with United Airlines who are committing support to helping bridge the transatlantic Cambridge clusters with respect to the business of Life Science. We are delighted that United has taken the next step in that support and granted One Nucleus Corporate Client status on behalf of our members. This innovative step allows all our members, large and small, to benefit from the discounted corporate fares and other benefits usually only available to the very large companies. Members can contact One Nucleus to enquire about the fares available on key routes, including London Heathrow to Boston or San Francisco, proceeding to book should that be the timing and cost they seek whilst accruing and redeeming air miles for use with United and their partners in future.

Looking ahead to the fact that the annual BIO International Convention is in Boston this year (5-8 June), the United collaboration could not have come along at a better time. Once there, One Nucleus plan to hold a series of satellite sessions to gather our members together with key US peers in the shape of:

- Tuesday 6 June – Breakfast Seminar with McDermott Will & Emery
Throughout the show, we will be supporting the UK Pavilion in the Exhibition Hall and connecting with our counterparts from around the globe whilst promoting and seeking additional opportunities for our members. One large conference or one trade visit is not sufficient to build and deliver a excellent B2B plan, as we all know.
