Swimming in Data: How to Generate Useful Returns
As new laboratory tools provide means to acquire huge volumes of data, the question arises on how to generate useful returns on the data. Virtual reality and augmented reality tools are maturing and offer powerful new possibilities for visualisation and collaboration. As we turn to consider the use of new machine learning and AI tools the quality and limits of inference become an important topic. Finally governance plays a key role and broad initiatives are being established for large scale data sharing under suitable terms.
