Content

The day will run 09.30 – 16.30 for a maximum of 12 participants to ensure individual attention.

After an initial welcome and warm up we will cover considering your audience, presenting data, body language and using the meeting space, and the red thread method of storytelling.

We will then ask participants to present their talks to the group. Participants will need to prepare a 5-minute presentation, the slides for which must be received by the trainers at least the day before.

After each 5 minute presentation, which will be filmed, electronic peer feedback will be collected. This will be collated at the end of the day and sent to each participant along with access to their video recording.

We will collate feedback on the following domains: content, visuals, delivery, engaging the audience with clarity and impact.

Following lunch participants will be split into pairs: each pair will be given individual feedback and coaching by one of us.

The pair will then work together to improve their presentations using feedback “ Even Better If” methodology.

Whilst waiting for feedback, the rest of the group in pairs will examine and critique a science based Ted Style presentation using the feedback domains and undertake a story building activity.

The day will conclude with a discussion on adopting the right mindset and some practical tips and and tricks for immediate take away.
