JPM week at the start of each year is generally seen as setting the tone for the sector for the year ahead. Recent years have seen a sense of optimism amongst the gloom as the general message since 2021 seems to have bene one of ‘it must be better than last year!’. Such optimism has perhaps been misplaced as that hasn’t been the reality that played out as we heard at Genesis 2024 in December. 2025 may be different however since the data leading into the week, the volume and value of deals announced and the impact of changing government administrations starting to become more clear left most feeling upbeat. JPM week has evolved over the years to become much more than a narrowly focussed investor/analyst/biotech/Pharma gathering and now has breadth in depth across all stages of company growth, dealmaking and service provision.
The panel at this event will discuss the key themes arising from the sessions and networking in San Francisco, including how they made their decision to attend, how they navigated the hive of activity and what they would advise anyone thinking of attending JPM Week 2026 to do now by way of preparation.
