There is no doubt about the rise of China as a major influence in bio-innovation, or indeed its plans to become increasingly competitive when you read their recently published next five-year plan targeting a goal key technological breakthroughs and aiming for first-in-class new drugs to account for over 25 percent of the global total by 2030.
 
The impact on the UK Biopharma R&D landscape has been profound with Pharma, investors and outsourcing biotechs engaging with China to reduce timelines and cost in drug discovery. Whilst there are perceived threats to China’s emergence, many will see opportunities for growth through collaboration, strategically undertaking the respective parts of the R&D journey in the ecosystem best placed to deliver them. Adapting to the new global bio-innovation ecosystem which R&D roles will remain in the UK sector and how UK employees can best prepare for them will be discussed in this webinar.
