Cellcolabs is a Swedish biotechnology company specializing in the large-scale, industrial production of high-quality mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) to prevent and treat debilitating and life-threatening diseases.

Dr. Metzler joins the company at a critical milestone as it enters its next phase of growth, bringing more than 25 years of international experience across biotech and biopharma. His leadership background spans cell therapy, rare diseases, commercialization, fundraising, strategic partnerships, and company building. His extensive experience of scaling organizations will be highly valuable as Cellcolabs focuses on selected indications, advances its clinical studies, and scales its stem cell platform.

Vincent Metzler, Ph.D., is a highly seasoned life sciences executive with more than 25 years of international tenure across the biotechnology and biopharmaceutical sectors. Most recently, he operated an independent consultancy, advising emerging biotech firms on global fundraising and commercialization strategies. Prior to this, he served as CEO and Board Member of Kither Biotech, where he successfully restructured corporate strategy and closed a breakthrough €18.5 million Series B financing round.

Dr. Metzler’s extensive industry background includes prominent leadership roles at cell therapy and rare disease pioneers, including Atara Biotherapeutics, Wilson Therapeutics, Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Miltenyi Biotec, Roche, and Amgen. His core competencies encompass cross-border strategic alliances, lifecycle management, and corporate scale-up within regenerative medicine. 

Dr. Metzler holds a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Bern.
