With the uncertainties around how the COVID-19 situation will develop all businesses, of course, are considering what they feel to be responsible and proportionate courses of action to take to protect themselves and others. One Nucleus is doing likewise, making these judgments in light of UK Government advice in the interests of staff, members and our wider network. To keep our contacts informed, our current view is as follows:
- We continue to follow the official UK Government and Public Health England advice and would request all event or training course attendees to do likewise in addition to any guidance issued by their home country
- The Health Secretary highlighted this week that peak levels are likely to emerge over the next couple of months rather than a couple of weeks. Hence we expect potential disruption until at least mid- May
- We have postponed the following events after consulting with respective partners and sponsors:
- Building Life Science Adventures (19 March)
- Lunch and Learn: Quantifying Low Metabolic Clearance in Drug Discovery - In Vitro Assays, Strategies and Human Extrapolation (7 April)
- Since this is a dynamic situation, we continue to plan future events as normal and aim to provide two weeks’ notice of cancellation or postponement to registered delegates wherever possible should the outlook remain uncertain
- By way of reassurance, should you be registered and have paid to attend a future One Nucleus event or training course that is subsequently postponed or canceled, we will contact you offering the choice of a full refund or transfer to the replacement event as per our standard T&Cs
- We are exploring and will use, virtual meeting options where appropriate and feasible in order to enable our would-have-been-delegates to stay informed
- We have an internal action plan with staff to increase our resilience in order to continue providing support to our members as usual, including preparation of the Annual Review & Directory, regular eNews bulletins and website services
- ON Helix (13/14 July) and Genesis (10 Dec) will go ahead as planned
- To support us, if you regularly attend our events please let us know via info@onenucleus.com if your organisation has travel/meetings restrictions in place as a result of COVID-19 as this will assist our event decision-making processes
Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact the One Nucleus team on info@onenucleus.com.
