A recent LinkedIn poll (see image below), asking ‘What do you believe is the most effective recruitment and retention tool out of salary; flexibility; training provision and other, specify in the comments?’ demonstrated that more than half of those that voted (61%) felt that flexibility was the most important, second salary (23%) and third was training provision (10%). It was interesting to see that others in the comments had suggested that there is no one size fits all when it comes to recruitment and retention and that employers should consider shaping a package around the specific needs of the employee which might very depending on life stages and by creating options this will help you to stand out in a competitive market.
