Deloitte Life Sciences Catalyst launches in Cambridge with panel discussion made up of industry experts

Developed through deep relationships across the local and global ecosystem, the Deloitte Life Sciences Catalyst exists to solve the business challenges that keep life sciences leaders and innovators up at night.

The Deloitte Life Sciences Catalyst launched in Cambridge on Tuesday 22 September. The virtual event involved a panel of esteemed experts who explored the contribution of the life sciences sector to economic growth and a discussion of the support available for companies in this space.

Joining the panel discussion were; Sir Mene Pangalos, Executive VP of AstraZeneca; Harriet Fear MBE, Director of Cambridge&; Susan Windham-Bannister, President & CEO of Biomedical Growth Strategies; Dr Andy Richards CBE, Entrepreneur and Investor, Cambridge Angels. The panel chair was John Haughey, Global Life Sciences Consulting lead, Deloitte.

Collaboration, inward investment, scaling up and talent exchange were just some of the topics debated. The panel also explored barriers to the start-up of life sciences clusters and the challenges of bringing innovation to the market.
