Your new role - The Director of Marketing, Government, Funder & Non-profit (GFN) is a pivotal role responsible for driving pipeline growth and strengthening Digital Science’s brand across the region. Reporting to the VP of GFN Marketing, this role leads the development and execution of an integrated marketing strategy for public sector and non-profit audiences.

Partnering closely with Sales and cross-functional marketing teams, the Director oversees end-to-end campaign strategy across ABM, digital, targeted advertising, and third-party events. This role ensures consistent, personalized messaging aligned to complex buying cycles and research-focused customer needs.

Success in this role is defined by generating qualified pipeline, ensuring strong market and persona alignment, and optimizing marketing investment through data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, analytical marketing leader with deep experience in EMEA public sector markets and a passion for experimentation and thought leadership.

What you’ll be doing
Budget Management & Performance Reporting
Manage the GFN marketing budget with the VP of GFN Marketing and track performance across regions and channels.

Monitor KPIs including pipeline contribution, ROI, and campaign effectiveness, using data to optimize results.
Campaign Strategy & Orchestration
Lead integrated campaign planning aligned to Performance Marketing and GFN priorities.

Partner with Product Marketing to ensure compelling, audience-relevant positioning.

Guide execution of campaigns, sales plays, and content aligned to the company’s value proposition.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Communication
Work closely with Sales to align campaigns to procurement cycles and target accounts.

Connect Segment, Product, and Performance Marketing to deliver coordinated, high-impact campaigns.

Manage agencies and oversee localized content across EMEA to ensure consistent messaging.

Segment Marketing Success
Play a leadership role within the GFN Segment Marketing team in an agile, collaborative environment.

Drive marketing programs that support acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.

Enable Sales and BDR teams with campaigns, messaging, and insights, partnering with Product Marketing on customer-centric assets and segment communications.
What you’ll bring to the role
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).

Senior-level marketing leadership experience in EMEA, with strong exposure to government, funder, and non-profit markets being a plus.

Proven success driving pipeline through field marketing, ABM, and digital campaigns.

Deep understanding of public sector procurement cycles, funding bodies, and research policy trends.

Strong collaborator with experience partnering closely with Product Marketing and Performance Marketing.

Expertise in audience segmentation, personas, and ABM for complex buying committees.

Data-driven marketer with hands-on experience using analytics, AI, and marketing automation tools (e.g., Salesforce, Pardot, Customer.io, Asana).

Comfortable operating in a complex, matrixed organization; proactive, self-starting approach.

Willingness to travel 25–30% for regional and national events.
