Webcast | 10:00-11:00

President Trump has stated that the next round of US tariffs will apply from 2 April, ‘liberation day’. Our rapid response webcast will assess the blueprint for these tariffs, the impact on UK businesses and the wider business environment.

The proposed tariff package – alongside retaliation from the US’ trade partners – could see global businesses facing over $1 trillion in tariffs over the next 12-24 months. This would be the single largest policy-driven change to the global trading environment in decades which, coupled with retaliation measures including export bans and content restrictions, would impact most businesses trading across borders or with a cross-border supply chain.

The webcast will help you cut through the noise by addressing:

  • The state of play and new tariffs that have been announced
  • Expected responses from other countries, in terms of tariffs, bans and boycotts
  • What the tariff package means for businesses in different sectors, including the costs and opportunities
  • How business can respond from a customs, tax, cost and cash management perspective as well as looking at wider footprint changes

Participants may be eligible for continuing professional development (CPD), as determined by your professional governing body.
