Context:
Our friends at Upstream and Imperial College London are pleased to extend an invitation to OneNucleus members to their event on clinical trials. Jawdrop Fireside: Unleashing the Power of Clinical Trials will take place on 31 October at the Molecular Sciences Research Hub (MSRH), on Imperial College London's White City campus. The event will convene industry, the NHS & academia to explore how the use of clinical trials can drive UK Life Science innovation & patient outcomes.
Jawdrop Fireside Life Sciences brings together industry leaders, NHS representatives, and academic experts to explore how the use of clinical trials can drive innovation and improve patient outcomes. In an increasingly competitive global environment, the number of industry clinical trials initiated in the UK per year fell by 41% between 2017 and 2021. This challenge is clearly recognised by Government, regulatory and professional bodies; the panel will debate the Government’s proposals on clinical trials, the importance of fostering collaboration between industry, the NHS, and academia as well as the ethical and regulatory considerations.
