The Finance Team plays a central role in the success of the company and is responsible for accounting and financial management operations from bookkeeping through to management and statutory reporting. We are seeking an experienced bookkeeper with good communication skills who is thorough and accurate, with careful attention to detail, to join the team, reporting to the Financial Controller.
Strong bookkeeping experience, ideally using Xero, and familiarity with Excel spreadsheets are essential skills. Knowledge of electronic banking systems is required although training will be given in the system used by the company. The ability to communicate confidently with non-finance colleagues at all levels of seniority is a key requirement and interaction with the Commercial and Scientist Teams will be needed. Experience of the Amici group purchasing system from an accounting perspective will be helpful but is not essential and training will be given. The successful candidate must have good time management skills and be comfortable working to agreed deadlines.
The role will be based mainly at our site south of Cambridge but some home working may be necessary while pandemic restrictions apply and regular visits to site will be required to collect post and other materials relevant to the job. Experience of working in a CRO or life science setting would be an advantage but is not essential.

• Manage the accounting aspects of the Amici purchasing system
• Administrator for the WorkflowMax project and time recording system
• Post journals for payroll, expenses claims, Amici, stock, accruals and prepayments
