Business Analyst Research and Innovation

Overview

We have a full-time vacancy for a suitable candidate to join our Joint Research Management Office. This is a central office which supports all research undertaken in Queen Mary University and Bart’s Health NHS Trust.

The post holder will be a member of the newly created R&I Analysis and Planning team working closely with the R&I Analysis & Planning Manager and the Heads of Services within JRMO for a wide range of projects. The purpose of this role is to lead projects across research services focused on business processes improvement liaising with end users, systems staff and potential suppliers. Each project will map current process, make recommendations for action and develop new processes which are effective, efficient and adaptable to current needs and future demands and in line with the Queen Mary Strategy 2030. The post reports to the R&I Analysis & Planning Manager.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background. They must have excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills and demonstrate a strong team-work ethic. This role demands the holder to work on their own initiative and can manage several projects at once. Previous experience in a similar environment would be advantageous.

The role is a full-time permanent position based at Department W, Mile End, London. The starting salary will be Grade 5, in the range of £41,386 - £48,414 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
