SPARTA® Biodiscovery’s main mission is to greatly enhance research and development of gene therapy, and other advanced therapies, by developing technological solutions surrounding characterisation and data analysis to guide new formulations. Novel drug formulations can be highly complex in composition, making process development highly challenging. SPARTA® Biodiscovery is a product and services business that will run on a strong IP portfolio and variety of products, expanding across several technological sectors. The flagship is the SPARTA® platform that is a benchtop analytical tool, including proprietary control and analysis software. We plan to offer services based on SPARTA® and, in the future, start selling it as an analytical tool.

They are seeking a highly accomplished Chairperson who will mentor the founding team, identify the key leadership team, lead fundraising, and help to drive SPARTA® Biodiscovery’s growth and success. The role requires a Commercial focus, with experience of leading the development of an early-mid stage biotech business, ideally within the CRO/enabling technologies industry, which has successfully realised value for shareholders. Experience defining and establishing modes of engagement and partnership agreements within a relevant industry, evidence of building a successful, scalable and profitable business is also sought. The role holder must be Investor-savvy, with an understanding of leading technology venture capital firms within the US and Europe, and an ability to raise capital. It’s essential they are accustomed to the demands of an early-stage, resource-constrained business.

The right Chairperson will be offered equity in the company, and upon investment, paid directors fees depending upon time commitment.
