With a history of 20 years, the London BioScience Innovation Centre (LBIC) provides state of the art laboratory facilities and services to over 50 companies located at the heart of London’s thriving Life Sciences sector. The Centre is owned by the prestigious Royal Veterinary College (RVC) and is located on the College’s Camden campus. As an extremely vibrant and rapidly developing area for life sciences, it is a sought-after location for innovative companies of all sizes. Developing and expanding LBIC’s client base is a strategic opportunity and to facilitate this LBIC is looking to recruit two high calibre individuals.

You will have responsibility for providing strategic leadership at the London BioScience Innovation Centre (LBIC), growing its reputation and ensuring efficient and seamless services are provided to clients and partners. By working closely with the RVC Vice Principal for Research and Innovation you will devise business and operational strategies, including sourcing or applying for external funding, that facilitate the growth of LBIC both on and off site, whilst ensuring complementarity to the RVC’s academic research and teaching missions and positioning the RVC as a leading higher education institute in collaborative working with business and enterprise.

For the successful delivery of these tasks, you will need the confidence to lead discussions with internal and external stakeholders and will apply a collaborative approach to the delivery of these tasks, working with colleagues across LBIC and the RVC including the Research Support Office, RVC Business and other Professional Services departments, as well as academic staff and researchers.

Candidates must have experience at senior level within the biomedical industry, preferably experience of the university sector and a good understanding of bio-innovation facilities.
