Computational Chemist

We are looking for an experienced Computational Chemist to join the Computer-Aided Drug Design (CADD) team at our Cambridge UK research site (hybrid working is also an option).

As part of the team, you will be actively involved in internal, and partnered drug discovery projects; applying state-of-the-art molecular modelling techniques to support multidisciplinary research activities.

About the candidate:
Applicants should hold a PhD in computational chemistry or related discipline, and ideally have at least two years’ experience working in a professional drug discovery setting. Specifically, applicants should have:
• A solid understanding of the structural and physicochemical determinants of molecular recognition
• Experience working with experimental biomolecular structures
• Experience in techniques such as molecular docking, pharmacophore modelling, conformational analysis, quantum chemistry, homology modelling, molecular dynamics
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, to communicate effectively with team members having diverse professional backgrounds
