Office based position

Your role in our team:

As a junior DevOps Engineer you will get a detailed overview of the current lab environment, infrastructure and systems and their utilisation and deployment. You will be responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting and improving of the existing automation and integration solutions or creating new ones. Your role will encompass the use of a broad range of tools and AWS technologies within Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Deployment/Delivery (CD).

The position will also require close working and collaboration with various teams such as IT support, Lab and Bioinformatics etc.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Liaising with IT, Lab scientists and Bioinformatics to understand integration requirements
Contribute to version control and container management
Contribute to the improvement of existing infrastructure and development process.
Setup CI/CD pipeline for new informatics pipelines
Provide day-to-day oversight, monitoring and maintenance of the infrastructure systems and software, including security, backup processes
Identify operational problems and work with other to find resolutions. Ensuring outcomes are documented.
Proactively monitors systems, including backups and interfaces. Investigates and resolves problems.
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Databases.

With essential experience in…

At least a Bachelor’s in Computer Science
Experience in working on Linux and Windows
A working understanding of scripting languages Python & Bash
Experience on Cloud technologies (preferably AWS)
Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes or similar)
Experience in version control (Git)

And Possibly...

Working experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, etc) will be plus.
