ELIXIR Administrative Assistant

ELIXIR is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join the dynamic and international team at the ELIXIR Hub in Hinxton, UK.

The post holder will provide comprehensive administrative support to the ELIXIR Hub as part of the ELIXIR Director's Office.

ELIXIR is a distributed research infrastructure for managing the massive volumes of data produced by life science experiments. It is a diverse and growing community of research organisations from 22 European countries that help scientists to store, access, re-use and analyse biological data. Over 220 institutes and 700 scientists and developers are involved in implementing ELIXIR’s work.
Your role
The main duties and responsibilities are:

Arrange travel and process reimbursements for the ELIXIR Hub staff;
Processing bookings, reimbursement claims and provide other administrative support for events and external guests;
Reconciliation of the Director's Office credit card and associated bookings;
Process ordering of supplies for the Director's office and the ELIXIR Hub through the SAP system;
Cover and support to other members of the Director's Office team as required;
To undertake any other duties as agreed with the Director, consistent with the grading of this post.

You have
A record of administrative support preferably within an academic or research environment; A high level of attention to detail, excellent organisation, interpersonal and communication skills; The ability to demonstrate experience of working both independently as well as part of an administrative team;

A good working knowledge of Windows, MS office application, email and web applications.

Experience of organising international travel.
