Facilities Coordinator

Job Description
To provide support to ensure that the facility and laboratory runs smoothly and safely so that scientists and support staff can perform their day-to-day duties with minimal disruption. Maintain facility through existing contractor relationships whilst continually evaluating whether established third party providers are suitable and sufficient. Plan, schedule, manage & organize facilities renovations, reorganizations & installations of new infrastructure, equipment & services.

Qualifications
5 GCSES’s or equivalent including Math's and English.
Experience of Facilities management within a scientific laboratory environment.
Basic knowledge of Health and Safety
Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office suite e.g., Excel, Work, MS Project
Understanding of laboratory procedures.
Knowledge of SOPs, GLP and cGMPs
Knowledge & Experience with air handling, HVAC, pressure systems and gas cylinder handling.
IATA & ADR dangerous goods transportation knowledge
General Laboratory safety and skills experience
NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
Recognized facilities management qualification.
Additional information
Good at building internal and external customer relationships. Takes initiative, is proactive and takes responsibility to drive ownership of facilities.
