Facilities Manager

We are looking for a driven individual to join us as Facilities Manager at our site at Edinburgh BioQuarter.

RoslinCT is a world-leading contract manufacturing and development organisation specialising in the field of cell therapies, advanced therapeutic medicinal products and regenerative medicine across a range of therapeutic targets.

As part of our continued growth, which includes the opening of our state-of-the-art BioCube facility, we are now recruiting across all of our teams including this Facilities Manager role. This role is well suited to an individual that is looking to further develop their career in Good Manufacturing Practice facilities management across multiple cutting-edge facilities.

The Role:
You will be a leading member of our Facilities team and will hold responsibility for all aspects of facilities, site and equipment maintenance and management across our growing business. The ideal candidate will hold experience in GMP equipment, buildings and infrastructure construction, maintenance and engineering within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or manufacturing industries.

Responsibilities:
As a key leader of our cutting-edge company your responsibilities will be varied but will include;
· Direction of programmes for maintenance and troubleshooting of cleanroom facilities, Air Handling units, LN2, medical gasses, hydraulics and pneumatics and other equipment to meet operational demands and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.
· Direction, co-ordination and planning of maintenance and repair schedules to ensure minimum disruption to the operation through a schedule of planned preventative maintenance and unplanned maintenance/repairs.
· Direction, co-ordination and planning of essential services such as PAT testing, security, IT, cleaning, waste disposal and recycling to meet operational demand requirements.
· Co-ordination and leading teams to cover various areas of responsibility.
· Identification, investigation and completion of relevant quality management documentation such as deviations, change controls and risk assessments.
· Calculation and comparison of costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value for money, and to plan future development in line with strategic business objectives.
· Preparation of documents to put out tenders for contractors, and project management, supervision and co-ordination of work of contractors including review of risk assessments and method statements.
· Establish a programme to bring facility and equipment maintenance activities in-house as appropriate.
· Set up and establishment of permit to work system for all works on site, including LOTO and safe isolation procedures. Set up and maintain staff shift patterns to ensure full coverages of core activities.
· Training staff in facility and equipment procedures, and to manage and lead change to ensure minimum disruption to core activities.
· Ensuring buildings meet H&S requirements and that facilities comply with relevant safety legislations, and to plan best allocation and utilisation of space and resources.
· Collaboration with Supply Chain and Validation teams on procurement of new equipment and validation of facilities and equipment, respectively.
· Leading the growth, development and shaping of the Facilities & Engineering team as RoslinCT expands.

Skills and Experience:
You will be able to demonstrate:
· Experience in equipment, buildings and infrastructure, maintenance and engineering within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or manufacturing industries.
· Maintenance and troubleshooting of Air Handling, LN2, compressed air, medical gasses, hydraulics and pneumatics associated with the manufacturing, construction and power environments.
· Preparation of engineering specifications, statements of work, and estimates for a wide range of facility related projects.
