With a history of 20 years, the London BioScience Innovation Centre (LBIC) provides state of the art laboratory facilities and services to over 50 companies located at the heart of London’s thriving Life Sciences sector. The Centre is owned by the prestigious Royal Veterinary College (RVC) and is located on the College’s Camden campus. As an extremely vibrant and rapidly developing area for life sciences, it is a sought-after location for innovative companies of all sizes. Developing and expanding LBIC’s client base is a strategic opportunity and to facilitate this LBIC is looking to recruit two high calibre individuals.

This role will offer an exciting opportunity to lead a range of activities including the development of a stronger collaborative ecosystem that ensures the translation of intellectual property into new therapies, products and services for improving human and animal health. The post-holder will report to the LBIC Chief Executive, and will be expected to liaise closely with LBIC’s operations team and senior staff at the RVC, notably the Head of Knowledge Exchange and Commercialisation and Managers of the RVC’s non-clinical facilities. The successful candidate will lead LBIC’s business development and marketing activities, identifying new opportunities for commercial service provision and developing strategic partnerships with relevant businesses, academics and other stakeholders.

For the successful delivery of these tasks, you will need the confidence to lead discussions with internal and external stakeholders and will apply a collaborative approach to the delivery of these tasks, working with colleagues across LBIC and the RVC including the Research Support Office, RVC Business and other Professional Services departments, as well as academic staff and researchers.

Candidates must have experience at senior level within the biomedical industry, preferably experience of the university sector and a good understanding of bio-innovation facilities.
