Our client is a UK/ Dutch start-up with a unique proprietary prototyped device to finally replace the mitral heart valve by means of a catheter (TMVR).
They are currently working with two prestigious academics in Cambridge and have worked on developing their prototype with a company in Germany.
They now require a talented MedTech R&D professional to join the start-up team. The team currently consists of the CEO who has a commercial background, a Medic the founder, an RA professional and a Business Developer. The role requires someone with product development experience of class 3 implantable devices, preferably heart valves. Previous involvement in the development of a transcatheter delivery device for minimally invasive cardiology or cardiac surgery would be extremely valuable. The role holder will be required to help both critique and shape the product development element of the business plan that will allow them to raise the investment needed to then execute the final stages of the devices development and commercialisation.
The role is unpaid right now but once the investment is secure, they would want this individual to join the team and execute the development plan. At that point, the individual will receive both stock and remuneration. The time requirement may vary but approx. 4 days a month but may increase as the closure of the funding round approaches.
