Applied Biotech Ltd is a fast-growing biotechnology company developing and manufacturing innovative diagnostic assays. We are looking to establish our manufacturing team at our Cambridge Science Park facility. The successful candidate will be methodical and dynamic with a passion for translational cancer research. The role will require a driven and efficient approach to meet deadlines and adapt to the changing needs of the company as is grows.
Key responsibilities
- Execute manufacturing steps meticulously
- Assist in establishing manufacturing protocols
- Preparation and review of QMS documentation
- Perform validation of equipment and processes and maintaining quality logs
- Maintain stock of materials to meet manufacturing needs
- Immediate reporting of any breaches in EHS to the management
- Maintain a safe and clean lab environment and compliant with standards
Education and Experience
- BSc or MSc in Biomedical Science or Applied Bioscience Biology
- Experience of working in a biotechnology and Quality Management Systems is essential
- Working experience within industrial diagnostic GMP environments is considered an asset
Skills and Competencies
- Familiar with cell culture methods and bead-based assays
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- Can work independently
- Meticulous and systematic in performing processes and keeping organised records
- Ability to adhere to procedures and a good understanding of quality system
